B)  Calendaring area double calendar - Mod. DC 250

The double calendar unit for facial tissues consists of:

  1. Supporting structure made of stabilised steel.
  2. 22 wide-stretched rollers for spreading the paper at the calendar inlet.
  3. 2 pairs of dynamically balanced, hardened rollers with a diameter of 250 mm. A roller of each pair is curved accordingly and its inclination is adjustable to optimise the calendar pressure.
  4. Locking and loading system by means of pneumatic actuators connected to stabilised steel glides with return springs.
  5. 4 pneumatically actuated cleaning and roller protection wipers.
  6. Automatic paper feed.
  7. Automatic lubrication system.
  8. 2 automatic paper pull adjustment devices by means of electronic dancer rollers.
  9. Independent motorisation by AC motor (for each unit).

Calendaring technical data

  • Max. working speed170m/min
  • Max. paper width 1,386 mm
  • Diameter of the calendar roller 250 mm
  • Installed power 16 Kw
  • Air consumptionApprox 100 nL/Min.
  • Required air pressure6 bar

C)  Folding area – interleaving of facial tissues ITF 7000SR

This interleaver is suitable for the production of facial tissue clips and consists of the following units:

  1. 2 "S Wrap" train units arranged in front of the folding head cabin.
  2. 2 alignment units, each arranged on the sides of the cabin to align the two paper layers before entering the folding head.
  3. 2 wide-stretched rollers for spreading the paper.
  4. 2 knurling units, which are inserted into the drive units of the Interleavers ITF 7000SR and consist of individual pneumatically controlled knurling units, whose position can be adjusted on special dovetail rods and counter rollers, which are covered with special hardened and ground steel shells.
  5. Interleaver head ITF 7000SR consisting of:

    1. Load-bearing structure made of stabilised steel.
    2. 2 longitudinal cutting units by means of pneumatically operated knives, which act on a series of specially hardened and ground rotating counter knives. The paper web is cut by the knives into individual strips, each of which follows different webs. The paper path of each strip is adjustable by servo motors, and all lines are brought together before the folding step so that the offset squares of the embossing can be re-aligned before the cross-section. Light barrier for paper breakage on each strip.
    3. 2 cutting units (clean cut), consisting of 2 fixed, inclined rollers with pneumatic blade adjustment, which are designed for easy blade change; 2 rotating suction rollers that hold the paper during and after the cutting phase, equipped with 4 blades, fixed internal suction sectors, which are equipped with seals made of self-lubricating material to create a vacuum inside the rollers.
    4. 2 folding rollers, equipped with suction areas mounted on the roller heads to transport the paper from the rotating cutting rollers to the folding area, and internal suction sectors equipped with seals made of self-lubricating material to transport the paper into the moulding area.
    5. 2 sets of forming fingers to detach the paper from the folding rollers and create the nested paper trunk. The mould fingers are driven by special oscillators to precisely control the movement of the fingers.
    6. Vacuum pump for operating the interleaver.
    7. Automatic paper feeding.
    8. Independent motorisation by AC motor.
  6. Automatic transfer unit Mod. TA 16.2 consisting of:
    1. Separating combs for separating the brackets (with the exact number of set sheets, between 48 and 200, with deviations from 2 to 2) from the product stack. The separation combs are mounted on linear guides and are driven by brushless motors via eccentrics. The units slide, following the course of the paper stem, on 2 prismatic guides, and their movement is controlled by brushless motors.
    2. Product moulding table, whose vertical movement is driven by brushless motors that carry the moulding clamps and place them on the product exit band. The horizontal movement of the table is controlled by a brushless motor.
    3. Auxiliary separation comb, which is attached to the vertical transport separator and inserted into the forming paper stacks after the separation combs have been actuated. The vertical movement of the comb that enters the product is pneumatic, while the horizontal movement is controlled by a brushless motor.
    4. The automatic handover is equipped with a special software and hardware package that allows the "simple folding" of the first sheet of the clamp for easier removal from the carton.
  7. Outlet tape with a clamp push unit that makes it possible to remove the finished clamps from the folding head cabin.
  8. Pneumatic and electrical control panels. Electronic control panels touch screen for controlling and managing all machine functions.
  9. Main control cabinet, in which the drives, the PLCs and the electronic axis controls are housed.
  10. Sound-absorbing cabins for folding head and vacuum pump.
  11. Automatic lubrication system for the unit ITF 7000SR.
