1. General information

This is an Italian paper mill producing a large variety of tissue papers. The tissue paper production line, installed in 2004, was shut down in June 2012 when the company entered in voluntary liquidation procedure.

2. Inspection of the tissue production line

Inspections of the tissue production line are welcomed at any time prior written consent of the Seller.

3. Actual status of the equipment

The complete plant & machinery is still assembled and it is for sale with the formula “as is where is”.

Brief description of the plant

Hydraulic headbox, Fourdrinier, 1st press (suction roll) and 2nd press (blind drilled roll), 3600 X 2900 mm Yankee Dryer (4 bar operating pressure), Pope reel (max. 2000 mm diameter roll), Tissue combining line (2 working stations), automatic wrapping machinery, spare parts, steam generation plant, waste water treatment.

6. Description of the supply & services

The supply includes the following items:

  1. PM approach flow systems (paragraph9.1.);
  2. combined paper machinery for tissue papers and related auxiliary systems (paragraphs 9.2. – 9.7.); 
  3. tissue combining line (paragraph 9.8.) & finished rolls wrapping machinery; 
  4. waste-water treatment equipment (paragraph 9.7.) 
  5. main spare parts; 
  6. stock preparation plant (paragraph10); 
  7. steam generation plant (paragraph 9.7.); 

7. Exclusions

The following items are excluded from our scope of supply:

  • non destructive dismantling service;
  • transportation service;
  • parts in concrete material (with the exception of shafts, impellers and agitators that can
  • be easily dismantled);
  • items reported in paragraph 8 („Additional services available upon request“).

8. Additional services available upon request

General services that Saxon Machinery can offer to Buyers are the following:

9.1. Approach flow system
Single dilution system composed of:

  • constant level box in stainless steel material;
  • (1) basis weight automatic valve, FOMAT ND100, control cabinet inlcuded;
  • (1) under the machine (wire section) chest for water recovering in stainless steel material;
  • (1) Sulzer fan pump, type ZPB 21-300, 30 m3/min, NPSH 25 m, 1200 rpm, electric motor ABB 160 kW (with frequency converter);
  • (1) low consistency pressure screen ST Macchine, 25 m3/min, slotted basket AFT Aikawa Group 0.28 mm (diameter 1010 mm, height of 850 mm), TSS consistency range 0.3 – 0.4%, electric motor of 45 kW, 960 rpm;
  • (1) vibrating screen having perforated plate in stainless steel material (2 mm hole diameter).

9.2. Headbox
Headbox having the following main characteristics:

  • designed, manufactured and installed by ST Macchine in 2004;
  • hydraulic type;
  • equipped with circular tapered manifold (with recirculation pipe and balancing flow control system);
  • design speed of 900 mpm; • slice width of 2850 mm;
  • design hydraulic flow of 25 m3/min;
  • operating consistency of 0.25 – 0.50% TSS;
  • manual slice lip control;
  • in full stainless steel material;
  • complete of devices for vertical and horizontal top slice regulation (flow regulation and impingement point control);
  • fixed to baseplates anchored to concrete basements;
  • • complete of longitudinal (for Fourdrinier inspection) and transversal walkways (headbox control).

  • 7) felt guide rolls 325 mm diameter, 3250 mm wide, rubber covered;

  • (2) single vacuum boxes with „Robadur“ thermoplast cover; 
  • (1) suction press roll 890 mm diameter, 3250 mm wide, designed and manufacture by
    RECARD, rubber covered with fixed bombè, bronze shell having 22% open area, driven
    (167 kW), ABB frequency converter included; 
  • (1) blind drilled roll press 820 mm diameter, 3100 mm wide, covered (RIF „Elatherm“), holes 2.5 mm diameter, 3050 mm lenght of drilled area; 
  • complete of pneumatic felt stretcher and guide roll devices; 
  • complete of felt conditioning system; 
  • penumatic loading system for both presses;

9.5. Dryer section Composed of: 

  • (1) Yankee Dryer 300 mm diameter, 2950 mm wide, designed and manufactured by EBERHARD HOESH, operating steam pressure of 4 bar, superficial coating (metallization) by BENDER made in 2006 and rectified by RIF, ELLI shaft mounted gear (555 kW of design power) having two parallel shafts connected with (2) ABB DC motors of 167 kW each and speed of 1750 rpm (controlled by ABB frequency converters); 
  • (1) hydraulic station for lubrication of shaft mounted gear, Yankee and presses bearing houses having AISI 304 stainless steel vessel of 1200 lpm, (2) electro-pumps (90 lpm, 3 kW), heat exchanger, instrumentation; 
  • (3) electro-mechanical oscillating doctor blades, crepeing doctor blade with adjustable holder, control panel in stainless steel included; 
  • high temperature air drying hood Duosystem provided by Fomat Aerothermic, in (2) independent halves (operated by pneumatic cylinders), wrapping angle of 100-115°, maximum inlet temperature of 600 – 700 °C, completed of heat recovery system and extraction of exhausted air; 
  • painted carbon steel framework.

  • pneumatic type; drum reel in cast iron 1000 mm diameter, 2950 mm wide, driven by reducer and ABB electric motor of 22 kW controlled by ABB frequency converter, maximum speed of 1300 mpm, maximum jumbo roll diameter of 2200 mm; 
  • 5) reel spools; 
  • without automatic reel spool loading; 
  • framework in painted carbon steel; 
  • complete of safety protections.

  • (1) AZMEC AL 280/2000 vacuum pump, electric motor of 132 kW @ 1480 rpm; • (1) AZMEC AL 65/2000 vacuum pump, electric motor of 110 kW @ 1450 rpm;
  • (1) AZMEC AL 100/2000 vacuum pump, electric motor of 160 kW @ 1450 rpm; • stainless steel separators and pipes, instrumentation, regulation valves. 
  • QCS system FOMAT Automation. 
  • (1) UTM pulper (under reel section) made in stainless steel material, horizontal pulping group with electric motor of 55 kW @ 980 rpm, ROBUSCHI centrifugal pump with electric motor of 18.5 kW @ 1450 rpm.
  • Steam generation system „Calorpack C 230“ (SIAT ITALIA) having the following main characteristics:
  • power of 2300000 kcal/h;
  • steam production of 3850 kg/h;
  • design pressure of 15 ate;
  • operating pressure from 12 to 14 ate;
  • natural gas burner VEISHAUPT, year 1989.
  • (1) white water treatment KROFTA SUPERCELL SPC 20 having maximum flow of 219 m3/h, maximum total solid suspended at inlet of 2000 ppm, mainly composed of: 
  • clarification tank 6100 mm diameter and 950 mm high, manufactured in many parts fixed by bolts; 
  • central vessel and skimmer; 
  • air dissolving tube A.D.T 1500 type (flow of 1300 lpm @ 6 ate pressure) and related
    pressure pumps (1300 lpm, 60 m NPSH, 22 kW, clarified water); 
  • sludge collecting tank; 
  • all parts in contact with water are in stainless steel material. 
  • (1) wrapping machinery for finished rolls coming from the tissue combining line.

9.8. Tissue combining line

Tissue combining line designed for speed of 1000 mpm, composed of: 

(2) working stations (2 layers tissue) for jumbo rolls of 2200 mm diameter maximum, completed of (2) belts per station driven by electric motor of 22 kW controlled by frequency converter; 

(2) drum type, maximum wounded roll of 1700 mm diameter (2750 mm wide), driven by electric motor having 75 kW @ 1000 rpm controlled by ABB frequency converter; 

slitter section; 

trims removal system; 

lowering cradle operated by hydraulic cylinders (complete of hydraulic station); 

frameworks in painted carbon steel; 

control benchboard. 

10. Stock preparation system 

Mainly composed of:

  • (1) MERI belt conveyor for pulper loading, 9 m of lenght, 1.4 m of width, drive with ROSSI motor reducer and self-brake electric motor of 3 kW, completed of electric panel;
  • (1) medium consistency pulper of 14 m3 capacity, completed of stainless steel perforated plate and extraction chamber, vessel in steel internally lined with stainless steel sheets, drive including V belt transmission and electric motor of 160 kW @ 1450 rpm; 
  • (1) stock extraction pump TURO, flow of 6000 lpm, 30 kW of installed power; 
  • (1) roatating screen drum (Trommel) 1600 mm diameter, 3500 mm of length, installed power of 5.5 kW, completed of vessel for water recovering and pump; 
  • (1) screw for the delivery of waste stock from the Trommel to the dewatering press,
